Gomi Boss faq
Having trouble with one of the bosses in Gomi? Click on the boss that you want some hints on. If you have any other issues, feel free to email me!

|
Hints:
- Watch the opening cutscene closely
- Notice how the gate was initially closed
- Notice how Gomi could land on top of the garbage truck
- Notice the thing hanging off of the gate

Solution:
- The garbage trucks keep dumping more trash, you need to stop them!
- To lock them out, you need to close the gates on each side of the level.
- To close each gate, you need to hit the button hanging off of each gate.
- You can't reach these buttons just by jumping, try jumping on one of the garbage trucks first.
- Once both of the gates are closed, clean up all of the trash!

Hints:
- You need to eat all of the fire to win!
- Use the grow power as much as possible, you move faster and jump higher while it is active.
- Watch the minimap in the lower right, and don't let planets become red. When a planet is red, it will spread fire to the planets next to it.
- Make sure that there is always at least one planet that stays green, meaning that there is no fire on that planet. You lose when all of them are on fire.
- If a planet is cleared of all its plants, it will block fire from spreading past it. This can be useful for blocking one side of the fire.
- As you move from planet to planet chasing the fire, make sure to eat ALL of the plants on each planet. This will slow the spreading of the fire.
- After the fire starts again, eat all of the plants on the planet you are on. This will keep it green, and ensure that you will not lose right away.
- A good strategy is to keep moving in one direction(CW or CCW), eating all of the plants on each planet.

Hints:
- Watch for the pattern of the barrels.
- More slowly and carefully, there is no time limit.
- Save the lower seals first so you don't have to go all the way back to save them at the end.

Hints:
- All of the patterns have a simple way to avoid them.
- Keep moving to avoid the beach balls thrown directly at you.
- Find the safe spot for the beach balls thrown in the air.

Hints:
- Notice the torches near the gates on each side.
- Notice the pile of TNT in the middle of the level.
- Try placing a geyser at the end of the tunnel under the level.
- Notice the buttons hanging off the gates on each side.

Solution:
- Touch the torch to catch Gomi on fire. Be sure not to create a geyser on the way back, it will put out the fire.
- Get back to the TNT in the middle while still on fire. This will give you access to a tunnel under the level.
- Place a geyser at the end of the tunnel, this will get the truck stuck under the gate.
- While the truck is stuck by the geyser, quickly make you way to the top and hit the button hanging off that gate.
- Do this for both trucks.

Hints:
- Look for the cracks in the ship.
- Try jumping in the air, and using your dash power to smash into the crack.
- Take your time. If you go move too hastily, you will get hit by the missiles.

Solution:
- The first two cracks are on the back of both of the wings.
- The next crack is on the neck of the ship.
- The final crack is on the front of the ship
- After you break off the neck of the ship, head to the front of the ship and break the front windshield.
- Watch out for the blue laser. Jump over it as it comes by so you don't get hurt.

Hints:
- To complete the level, you need to eat everything in the level.
- Look for the buttons near the top of the level.
- The first objects you must eat are the ceiling lights on the top of the level.

Solution:
- First, find the button on the upper right portion of the level.
- Go through the door this button opens, which will lead you to the top of the level.
- Eat the lights on the top of the level. Now you will be able to eat other objects in the level.
- Make your way through the level and eat everything.

Hints:
- You do not need the laser power to start the boss, you may use any power you have.
- Look for the screws on the legs of the boss.
- Eat all of these screws to dismantle the legs.
- You can shoot the barrels and missiles to protect yourself.

Solution:
- The boss is made up of five legs, and a center circle.
- Eat all of the screws on the legs to break them.
- After all the legs are broken, you need to destroy the core of the boss.
- Look for the three funnels that are venting out green gas.
- Shoot your flowers into these vents to break them.
- Make you way around the circle, and break all three vents.
- If you get too close to the boss, it will push you away.
- Make sure to continue shooting the barrels and missiles to protect yourself.
